How to Use

Cleanse

Our Shampoo has a rich lather that gently cleanses the scalp while helping to hydrate your strands. Hint: For curly and coily we suggest swapping in our Co-wash every few washes for even extra hydration.

Condition

Our Conditioner is your first defense against dry, brittle hair. But if you need an extra layer of protection, our Leave-in delivers moisture all day.

Treat

Twice a week we recommend swapping out your Conditioner for our Hair Mask and leave it on your hair for 5 to 10 minutes for a more intense treatment.

Prep

You can Function fearlessly thanks to our Hair Serum and Styling Primer, which protect your hair from heat while reducing frizz and increasing shine.

FAQs

What’s the difference between co-wash, conditioner, and shampoo?

Co-wash is formulated to be less drying than a shampoo, and lighter on the roots than a conditioner. We recommend you alternate using a co-wash with your shampoo and conditioner to gently cleanse without overy-drying.

How often should co-wash be used?

Co-wash can be used 1-2 times per week to lightly cleanse hair and scalp in between shampoo days.

Do I need to use your conditioner?

For best results, we recommend using a fully customized routine from Function of Beauty. However, you can get started with just one product, including our shampoo.
